“I feared having my first NG tube. Coming at an early stage of this illness it was a big unknown to me. I could have done with more information and reassurance than I received. Nonetheless, the procedure was not as bad as I had expected and once it was in it didn’t cause me too much trouble, other than a semi-permanent sore throat. It allowed to me to start to get some badly needed nutrition and it helped inform my doctors”
